Seminoles Looking For Revenge and Redemption Against Wake Forest.

Tallahassee, Fla- After last Saturday's 46-7 beat down of UT-Chattanooga, the No. 24 Seminoles (2-0) now get set for what
could be their biggest game of the season.
On Saturday night at 7 p.m. in Doak S. Campbell Stadium players, coaches, and fans will be taken back to Nov. 11, 2006—when
Seminole nation came crumbling down. For the first time ever at the "Doak" the Seminoles got manhandled 30-0 by Wake
Forest.
That one loss represents where the Seminoles have been the last two seasons. The game spurred the resignation of
former Offensive Coordinator Jeff Bowden and left many Seminole fans asking even louder for the legend Bobby Bowden to retire.
Coach Bowden stood tall and committed himself and his staff to rebuilding the once feared Seminole empire.
In came former LSU Offensive Coordinator Jimbo Fisher to fill the same position at FSU. Along with him, came Offensive
Line Coach Rick Thickett, Runningback Coach Dexter Carter, and Wide Receiver Coach Lawrence Dawsey. Chuck Amato also
returned to coach the linebackers.
After a lackluster campaign in 2007 at 7-6, the Seminoles came into the 2008 season looking to prove that they belong in
the top-tier of college football programs.
The team roared out of the starting blocks with two dominating performances against Division I-AA teams Western Carolina
and UT-Chattanooga, allowing a total of 7 points between the two. Now the real season begins.
FSU Head Coach Bobby Bowden knows those first two games didn’t prove much. "It doesn't mean a darn thing because
we haven't played a 1-A school," Bowden said.
"Now we're fixin' to step it up a notch." The team doesn't need any motivation for this week’s game. The veteran
players from two years ago remember what that night felt like. It was cold, rainy and just an all out miserable day at the
"Doak."
Seminole veteran linebacker Derek Nicholson and his teammates are taking this game very serious. "This is a big game,
big test," Nicholson said. We'll see how good our team really is."
No. 18 Wake Forest (2-0) is seen as one of the best teams in the ACC. That may seem funny to some casual football
fans because it was only five years ago when Wake Forest and Duke were battling head-to-head to not finish dead last in the
conference.
The Demon Deacons have built a solid program over the past couple of years and basically came out of nowhere.
Their unusual misdirection offense continues to catch teams off guard and Florida State knows about it all to well.
Being shut down at home two years ago and giving up one big play one year ago, made Wake Forest a thorn in the side of the
Seminoles that they just can't seem to remove.
On Saturday night, revenge and redemption will be what fuels and motivates this Seminole football team. When the
flaming spear drops at center field Wake Forest may have flashbacks from 90s when the Seminoles used them as their tune-up
for their next opponent.
Revenge is coming Seminole nation, so lets get ready to rock the house on Saturday night and create the most hostile environment
